Veste Arctique — the cosy cocoon of faux fur
Designed in our workshops, the Veste Arctique is that piece you curl up in from the first cold days. Its short, enveloping cut, its large soft collar and its wide sleeves give it a look that is both cosy and elegant, to wear open over a T-shirt or a fine jumper. A "cuddle" jacket, spectacular yet utterly simple to make.
The spectacular softness of L'Arctique yarn
Knitted in our L'Arctique quality, a fancy yarn with a faux-fur effect, this jacket offers a plush feel and a generous drape. The long pile hides seams and irregularities, which makes it an ideal yarn for a quick and rewarding project, even when starting out.
All in stocking stitch, on large needles
The whole thing is worked in stocking stitch on n°8 needles, in simple pieces (back, two fronts, two sleeves) joined with mattress stitch. The collar is turned up after assembly and knitted to height (20 cm), for that soft volume that wraps the shoulders. Workshop tip: work preferably with 2 balls at a time (2 rows with each) for a nicer marled effect.
