Pull Sublime Kid Mohair — the openwork lightness of mohair

Designed in our workshops, the Pull Sublime Kid Mohair is an exceptional piece, knitted in mohair and silk held double for a light, airy and luminous drape. Its straight cut, round neckline and openwork stitch make this jumper a signature piece, to wear over a fine top, a white shirt or directly next to the skin to enjoy all the softness of the yarn.

The "wheat-ear" stitch, signature of the piece

The front and sleeves are worked in the "wheat-ear" openwork stitch, a motif whose yarn overs and slip-stitch decreases draw fine diagonal ribs reminiscent of ears of wheat rippling in the wind. A graphic, delicate stitch, particularly set off by the ethereal halo of the mohair. The back stays in smooth stocking stitch, which balances the piece and structures the silhouette.

A little signature trick: the edgings are knitted in twisted 2/2 rib (the 2nd stitch knitted before the 1st), a refined finish that gives character to the cuffs and the hem of the jumper.

Tension

To be worked in the fancy stitch with n°5 needles and the yarn held double. Adjust the needle size if necessary to obtain a supple, airy fabric, characteristic of mohair.

Level and duration

Intermediate level. The project calls for comfortable handling of twisted rib, stocking stitch, reading an openwork chart (yarn overs, slip-stitch decreases, stitches together) and the centred placement of the motif. The double-held mohair also calls for a relaxed hand: knit without pulling too tight, mohair likes space.
