Gilet Cœur des Andes — the cosy elegance of alpaca
Designed in our workshops, the Gilet Cœur des Andes combines the warmth of baby alpaca with the suppleness of merino for a refined, comfortable piece, to wear over a shirt or a fine T-shirt. Its straight, slightly flared cut, its open neckline and its garter-stitch edgings make it a mid-season essential.
A play of materials and motifs
The body is knitted in plain stocking stitch in the colour Crème, a luminous base that leaves all the room to the detail of the sleeves. These are worked in a striped fancy stitch: a chequerboard motif of tricolour elongated stitches (Crème, Bruyère, Gris Clair) that produces a graphic scale effect, in the spirit of the traditional textiles of the Andes.
The neckline is underlined by a hand-formed garter-stitch braid: each loop is twisted, then threaded through the next, and secured with hidden stitches. A signature finish, both technical and decorative.
